Why don't penguins fly? The fairy tale "penguins" educational and methodical material on the world around on the topic. Brave little penguin Ping

Did you know that a long time ago, penguins could fly - just like most birds? Do not know? Then I will tell you a story.

In the distant snowy Antarctic, there lived royal penguins, a family: dad, mom and a little penguin, whose name was Lupa. Once, early in the morning, mom flew to the sea to fish, and the little penguin stayed with dad. But the father fell asleep, the baby became bored, and he slowly descended from his father's paws, on which it was so warm and comfortable, to the cold sparkling snow. He remembered in which direction his mother flew, and decided to go there, but on foot, because he was still small, and his wings still did not keep him very well in the air.

The path to the mother, which the little penguin had already missed, was not a short one: Lupa either climbed the ice slides, then descended from them, fearlessly rolling down from a height right on his tummy; endless snow-white expanses surrounded the baby. Finally, he saw the sea for the first time in his life! I settled down on an ice ledge and waited for my mother to return to the shore. But sitting alone on the shore was very cold and sad, not at all like next to my parents. In addition, Lupa was very tired trying to find his mother, and drowsiness gradually began to overcome him. There is absolute silence around... and suddenly, a quiet splash. It turns out that the little penguin fell asleep and slipped into the water. Instantly awakening, the baby began to work with flippers, emerged to the surface of the water and inhaled air. He coped, remembered how dad worked with him, showed him how to swim. However, the dangers that lie in wait for the penguin did not end there. Suddenly, not far away, he noticed bubbles on the surface of the water and at first thought hopefully that it was his mother approaching. But that was ferocious predator- sea leopard. "Dead!" thought the little penguin. Although he did not know what kind of monster it was, but it was so huge in comparison with him that Lupe's soul went to his heels. The sea leopard conceived something bad, but he did not want to eat the penguin, but to present it as a gift to the evil sea sorceress Rinde - after all, she lived in warm seas, therefore, I have never seen such royal penguins.
And scary beast dragged the baby into the ocean, into the witch's cave. Rinde was extremely surprised and delighted with the new pet, put him near her throne on a golden chain. And the sea leopard was rewarded with a golden collar with huge pearls. The poor penguin was so frightened and upset by the separation from his parents, he was so sad that he could neither drink nor eat, although the servants of the sorceress brought him the freshest and most delicious fish. However, Lupa did not lose hope that his beloved parents would find their way to him.

And in distant Antarctica, dad, waking up, saw that his son had disappeared. However, he noticed next to him a chain of footprints of the baby, which, fortunately, was not covered with snow, and flew to the rescue of his son. Mom, when she was fishing, saw how a sea leopard was dragging a baby penguin, and her mother’s heart told her that Lupa was in the teeth of the monster, and she, trying not to be noticed, swam after the beast to rescue her son. When my mother was at the cave of the evil sorceress Rinde, her father caught up with her.

Mom and dad sneaked into the cave. When they saw the chain around Lupe's neck, the parents' hearts sank with concern for the baby. Mom wanted to immediately rush to her son, but dad explained to her that it was better to wait for the right moment. After some time, the sorceress went to brew a magic potion in her huge cauldron in the depths of the cave, and the parents, seizing the moment, were near the penguin. The Pope managed to break the chain with which Lupa was chained to the throne with a stone.

The penguins rushed out of the cave. Soon, the sorceress finished brewing the potion, returned to her throne, but the little penguin was not near him. Rinde realized that the prisoner had escaped, got terribly angry and decided to catch up with him.

In the distance, near the surface of the water, she saw three silhouettes. Instantly standing next to them thanks to her magical abilities, Rinde was surprised to see that the penguins soared into the sky. Turns out they could fly! Lupa sat on dad's back, and mom hovered beside him. With a wave of her hand, the sorceress deprived them of their ability to fly forever. However, she, fortunately, did not realize that penguins swim even faster than they fly. Once in the water, the birds rushed from it to the depths of the ocean with incredible speed... The sorceress, without thinking twice, called her faithful assistant - the sea leopard, which was several times larger than the father penguin. He barely caught up with the fugitives and managed to grab the baby even when the penguins came ashore one by one. Mother penguin noticed this and rushed at the offender. She hit the leopard with her sharp beak, but he still continued to fight. A fierce struggle ensued in the water, and at that time, dad penguin arrived in time to help. He snatched the penguin from the clutches of the monster, which was already ready to give up the fight, it was so tired. In the end, the leopard seal left the penguins alone. And dad penguin pulled out of the water the body of his mother, covered with deep scratches. But she was alive, and after a few months, all the wounds healed.

This is how the story ended. Since then, the penguins no longer fly, and they learned to swim even faster. And warm relationship in penguin families, their affection for each other only grows stronger.

PENGUINS

“When we have, at the top of the Earth, winter begins, at the bottom of the Earth, in Antarctica, summer begins. At this time, flocks of penguins swim from the ocean islands to its icy shores. Their path is long and dangerous. The storm will break out, then the sharks will attack.

But it happens well when the penguins swim to the place. In white shirts and dark trousers, in black jackets, they walk in crowds along sparkling ice, through the sparkling snow ... ”- this is how the movie fairy tale begins about Pin-Gwin and Pyn-Gvyn, about two polar birds.

In Antarctica, Pin-Gwin and Pyn-Gwyn laid an egg each and began to warm them so that the chicks hatched.

One day, Pin-Gwin got hungry and asked a neighbor to look after an egg, while he went into the ocean for fish - for himself and his neighbor.

Clumsy Pyn-Gvyn guarded the egg and fell asleep. And in a dream, he accidentally pushed an egg. And it rolled and fell into a crack and broke there.

Pyn-Gvyn was frightened. He was afraid to tell the truth. He found a stone that looked like an egg and gave it to Pin-Gwin.

Soon the penguins hatched chicks. Everyone rejoiced. They congratulated each other on their newborns.

For little penguins, adult birds arranged all sorts of entertainment, rolled them down an ice slide.

Only Pin-Gwin did not hatch a chick. “What a stubborn one,” thought Pin-Gwin, “he doesn’t want to come out of the shell. Well, nothing, let him sit still in the egg, if he likes it so much. And when there was no one on the hill, Pin-Gwin arranged a ride for his future little penguin.

The penguin was taught to swim, dive, and fish.

Pin-Gwin also came to the ocean.

Can you hear that constant noise? he asked his stone. - It's the sound of the ocean. He's not solid. If you stand on it, you will fail and fall with white color in green, to the fishes. Fish, like narrow ice floes, just as shiny ...

... And there are whales! They look like black rocks. A fountain beats out of their heads - a huge feather from the water, - Pin-Gwin explained to the stone.

One day, two birds approached Pin-Gwin and expressed their doubts: did he have a stone instead of an egg? Ah, how angry Pin-Gwin is! He drove the impudent people away and for a long time shouted insulting curses after them.

And how happy Pin-Gwin was when he heard the knock in the egg. Knock... knock... knock... The heart of the bird was filled with happiness.

But it wasn't in the egg. This warmed the sun, and cold drops fell to the ground from the tip of a large icicle.

Meanwhile, the penguins grew up. They could no longer be distinguished from adult birds. One day, the penguins set off on their way back to the islands. It was impossible to stay longer in Antarctica, a harsh winter was approaching with frosts and blizzards.

Only one dark dot was visible on the shore - it was Pin-Gwin's black jacket. To stay here, he thought, is to freeze the little penguin for sure. I will swim too.

This is the only salvation for him. It's a pity that he still hasn't hatched…”

Pin-Gwin was already far from the coast when his forces began to leave him. He realized that he would never see ice or sun again. He would have lived for many more years if he had released the stone. But after all, Pin-Gwin was sure that he had not a stone, but an egg with a tiny penguin, not yet born, but loved endlessly.

The water that surrounded Pin-Gwin grew darker and darker, as if blackness was being added to the water. But no one added blackness - just Pin-Gwin sank deeper and deeper.

Pin-Gwin would still be alive if Pin-Gwin told him the truth!

Bedtime story about a penguin and an asterisk

Once upon a time there was a little penguin. His name was Gogosha. He was the same as hundreds of other penguins living in the country of Penguinaria. He knew how to hide well from predators, swam well and deftly hunted in the vast blue ocean.

“It’s good to be like everyone else,” Gogosha’s penguin reasoned, “but still I want to be at least something different from others. For example, if I had my own small ship, I would ride my penguin friends on it.

Gogosha dreamed, and out of habit looked at the sky.

Oh, how many stars! he exclaimed. - I wish I could buy one, even the smallest star. After all, none of the penguins have stars. Then I would definitely be different from others.

Where do they buy stars? the penguin Gogosha asked himself.

And then he remembered what Aunt Tufa had said:

All purchases are made in the store.

“Tomorrow I will get the smallest star,” thought the penguin.

The next morning in the store, he carefully examined the goods. There were no stars for sale, but he still asked the seller:

- Hello, what is the price of the stars? I don't need a big one, just the smallest one.

The seller, the penguin Tikhokhod, was very surprised at what purchase Gogosha decided to make.

“There are no stars on sale,” said the penguin Slow-moving, “and I think you won’t find such goods in other stores either.”

Gogosha was upset. He so dreamed of an asterisk.

In the evening of the same day (or it seemed to him), one small star in the sky began to dance a merry dance. At the end of the dance, Gogosha clapped his hands happily.

The little star descended from the sky and said in excellent penguin language:

- I know everything. You wanted to buy a little star from the sky. Stars are not for sale. But do not worry, we will be friends with you. And see you again very soon.

- Blimey! said the happy penguin. “I won’t tell anyone about this friendship, only my mother.” This will be our little secret. And even if in the eyes of my friends I will be the same penguin as everyone else, but in fact, I am an unusual penguin, because I have a friend - an asterisk. Tell me star, what's your name?

- I'm the Star Glitter.

Glitter and penguin Gogosha became friends. By the way, since then the penguin began to sleep even more soundly. After all, his dream was guarded by a small star.

"About penguins" - a story by Gennady Snegirev, which will be of interest to naturalists and nature lovers of all ages. In it, the narrator describes several encounters with penguins on an African island. What are these amazing birds, what qualities do they have, and how are they similar to people? Read with the whole family in a collection of notes about penguins from an avid traveler. They present interesting features the behavior of these birds, their habits and find out what enemies are chasing penguins in nature.

penguin beach

There is a small island near Antarctica on the African side. It is rocky and covered with ice.

And ice floes float around in the cold ocean. There are steep cliffs everywhere, only in one place the coast is low - this is the penguin beach. From the ship we unloaded our things on this beach.

The penguins got out of the water, crowded around the boxes. They run around the bags, peck at them and shout loudly, talking to each other: they have never seen such amazing things!

One penguin pecked at the bag, tilted his head to one side, stood for a moment, thought, and said something loudly to another penguin. Another penguin also pecked at the bag; stood together, thought, looked at each other and shouted loudly: "Karr ... Karrr ..."

Then penguins from the mountains came running to look at us. Many of them have gathered, the back ones on the front ones are pushing and shouting, as in a bazaar. Still: after all, they saw people for the first time and everyone wants to climb forward, look at us, peck at the bag.

Suddenly I hear someone dancing behind me.

We had a large sheet of plywood. He lay on the rocks, and the penguins danced on him. A penguin will run along the plywood, come back, run again, and even stomp with his paw! The line is lined up - everyone wants to dance.

One penguin slipped on smooth plywood and drove on his belly, others also began to fall and roll.

All day they danced on plywood. I didn't remove it. “Let them have fun,” I think, “they are probably glad that we came.”

In the evening, the penguins lined up in one line and left. One penguin looked at me and fell behind. Then he caught up with the rest of the penguins, but could not keep up, because he kept looking back at me.

Curious

I sit on a stone and eat bread. And the penguins come up to me and look into my mouth - they just can’t understand what I’m doing. They are very curious.

In the evening I hung the washstand on the board. While I was nailing it to the board, one penguin stood and watched carefully, even nodded his head.

In the morning I went out to wash, but I couldn’t go to the washbasin: a whole crowd of penguins had gathered. Water drips from the washbasin, and the penguins around stand silently, their heads to one side and listen to the drops breaking on the stones. For them, it might be music.

Once I lit the stove in the tent. Primus is noisy. I don't notice anything.

I wanted to get out of the tent, but I couldn't: penguins crowded at the entrance, listening to the primus stove. I warmed up the tea and turned off the stove.

The penguins screamed and roared. They want to listen more. I lighted a primus stove for them just like that - let them listen.

Bullies

Penguins are not only curious, there were also fighters among the penguins.

One penguin ran past our tent and ran into an empty can. The can rang.

The penguin came back and flew again. The can rings, the penguin screams at him and beats his wings.

I pull the penguin away from the can, and he pecks at my hands, gets angry.

But the worst thing was to go for water.

You walk along the path, but you yourself are afraid.

Behind the rocks lived a bully penguin. He always waited for me and attacked me. It clings to the boot with its beak and pecks, beats its wings.

When I went for water, I took a ladle with me. As the bully swoops in - I'm his ladle. He was very afraid of the ladle.

sly skua

Once I walk around the island, I hear: penguins scream behind the stones, flap their wings.

It's a skua circling above them, trying to grab a baby penguin.

And the skua is their main enemy on land.

If the penguin gets sick or falls behind the others, the skua pulls it aside and pecks to death.

A skua is circling over the penguins. They huddled together: chicks in the middle, adults at the edges. The skua sees that he cannot grab the penguin, then he cheated: he sat on the ground, approached the penguins and did not move. Long stood.

The penguins got used to it, calmed down.

The chicks began to play. One chick stepped aside. The skua pounced on him and dragged him away.

To sea

Penguins go to the sea in the morning. Climbing through the gorges. On level ground they walk in single file. From the mountains they roll on their belly through the snow. The first penguin will lie on his stomach - and down, followed by the second, third ... and rolled ...

Below, they shake off the snow, line up in a chain and hit the road again. They walk in silence, all in step, serious.

Penguins will come to the steep bank, look down and roar: high, scary! The rear ones push against the front ones, swear: you have to jump!

The first penguin will spread its wings - and upside down.

And they jump from the steep one by one, in turn. They emerge from the water, take in air - again under the water. Dive, catch a crustacean, up again - to take a breath of air. In the water, they also swim in a chain, somersault, play.

Sea leopard

Suddenly all the penguins began to jump out of the water.

Who was closer to the shore - to the shore. And who is far away - on the ice floes. As if they were being pushed out of the sea.

One penguin jumped out of the water onto an ice floe.

Behind him is the second.

The first penguin did not have time to move away, the second sat on his head.

The whole sea is empty. Penguins stand silently on the ice floes, and whole crowds stand on the shore, looking at each other.

And in this silence, a terrible beast emerged from the water. He stretched out his neck, looked at the penguins, his eyes were filled with blood, his nostrils flared. The beast snorted, dived under the water and swam away.

And the penguins stood silently for a long time on the shore and on the ice floes: they could not come to their senses from fear. Then the rear ones screamed impatiently, ran into the front ones, and again the penguins rolled into the sea.

This animal was a sea leopard - a huge, predatory seal with sharp teeth.

In the sea, he grabs a penguin, throws it into the air and tears it apart.

brave penguin

One day I went down to the sea and saw a little penguin. He has just grown three fluffs on his head and a short tail.

He watched adult penguins bathe. The rest of the chicks were standing near the stones heated by the sun.

The little penguin stood on the rock for a long time: he was afraid to throw himself into the sea.

Finally, he made up his mind and walked to the edge of the cliff.

A small naked penguin stood at the height of a three-story building. The wind blew him away.

From fear, the penguin closed his eyes and ... rushed down. He surfaced, spun in one place, quickly climbed the stones and looked at the sea in surprise.

It was a brave little penguin. He was the first to swim in the cold green sea.

Pebbles

I noticed that the penguins walk from the beach in silence. It turns out that they hold pebbles in their beaks. If the penguin drops a pebble on the ground, it will definitely stop and pick it up.

It also happens this way: this pebble will seem better to another penguin. He throws his own away and grabs someone else's.

A fight begins for the pebble, and it goes to the strongest.

Penguins do not need pebbles to play, but to build nests. After all, their island is all stone, not a single blade of grass grows. That's why penguins build their nests out of rocks.

The penguin is sitting on the nest and is scooping up pebbles from all sides. And a penguin is standing nearby, looking around - guarding.

The penguin gapes, the neighbor grabs his stone and puts it in his nest. Because of this, the penguins are always screaming and fighting - taking stones from each other.

Goodbye!

The wind howled. A blizzard has risen. You can't see anything around, everything is covered with snow. I went to say goodbye to the penguins.

I did not find penguins, only snow hillocks remained from them.

I dug one tubercle with my foot. I look: the beak sticks out. I then pushed the second tubercle.

Suddenly the hillock stirred, and a penguin jumped out of it, shouted at me, cursed ...

In a snowstorm, all penguins lie on the rocks. They are covered in snow. They lie in snow houses, pierce windows with their beaks.

And the chicks remain standing on the stones. They are covered with snow, and snowballs are obtained. I approached such a lump, and he ran away from me.

I took off my hat and said to the penguins: "Goodbye!"

But they were covered in snow. And only the bully penguin ran after us to the very shore.

There was no way I could drive him away, because the ladle was hidden in a bag.

Once upon a time there was a little Penguin at the far North Pole. Like all penguins, he ate fish, went to Penguin School, slept at night in his house of ice. And everything would be fine, only the Penguin had one secret: he did not know how to swim. “Here's another,” you say, “So that the penguin could not swim? It's funny!" So our little Penguin was very afraid that someone would laugh when he found out his secret. Therefore, he did not tell anyone about it. When the little Penguin's friends went to the ocean to swim, they called him with them, but the little Penguin always found some excuses: either Mama Penguin needs to help sweep the house, then go to grandma and grandpa to visit, then do homework at school ... Tired of friends little Penguin that he denied every time, they stopped calling him with them. It became sad to live the little Penguin. But really, how can you live without friends? Who will cheer up or support you when you feel bad? And then the little Penguin decided to overcome his fear of the ocean and go to his friends. On that day, the ocean was completely restless: strong waves beat against the snow-white rocks, as if trying to jump ashore, and the water itself was so dark, as if someone had spilled ink into it. Little Penguin found his friends on the ocean shore: the guys were merrily splashing in the cold northern water. Seeing the little Penguin, they began to wave cheerfully to him. - Little Penguin, come to us! - Little Penguin, we have so much fun playing! - Well, what stood on the shore, climb into the water! She's remarkably cold today! Little Penguin uncertainly approached the very edge of the shore and touched dark water. "Brrr, she's just icy, you can't imagine better!" he thought. Little Penguin looked uncertainly at the roaring waves. How tempting they danced, jumping over each other, rushing to the shore... Little Penguin smiled, but immediately imagined how he dives into this dark water and cannot make a single movement... In fear, he backed away from the water under the questioning looks of his friends and rushed to run . The next day, little Penguin again decided to go to the ocean and play with friends, but the next day he did not succeed. On the third day, little Penguin came to the ocean shore. His friends were there. Seeing the little Penguin, they stopped playing and began to see if he would run away, like the last time. Dark waves still pounded monotonously against the snow-white rocks. Little Penguin was embarrassed by the looks of his friends, he took in his chest more air and jumped into the water. The water enveloped his body, and the little Penguin, having ceased to feel solid ground under his feet, was very frightened. He began to jerk his legs and arms, to raise spray around, just to find himself on the shore faster. Suddenly a big wave overtook him, picked him up and brought him to the shore. As soon as the little Penguin found himself on solid ground, he began to cry. Everything, now his friends, who saw him floundering in the water, will definitely not be friends with him. The penguin that can't swim! It's funny! “How I want to learn how to swim!” - thought the little Penguin in despair. Something soft landed on the tearful Penguin's head. He raised his head and saw Her Majesty the Starlet - the Queen of the Land of Desires. Her Majesty Starlet looked at him with her bright radiant eyes and smiled. “I heard your wish, little Penguin,” she said. - You will learn to swim... - But how? - the little Penguin was surprised. - Who will undertake to teach me? Her Majesty Starlet only smiled enigmatically and disappeared. At the same moment, friends jumped up to the little Penguin. - What happened? Why didn't you swim? - You didn't hit yourself, little Penguin? - Why are you crying? “I can’t swim,” said little Penguin sadly. That's why I didn't want to go swimming with you. I thought that you would laugh at me ... The friends laughed good-naturedly and hugged the little Penguin. - How naive you are, little Penguin! - We are your friends. We won't leave you. - If you had come to us immediately, we would have taught you to swim the same day! Little Penguin was delighted and hugged his friends. And how could he think that his friends would taunt him? They are true friends! On that day, the guys played in the cold dark waves until the evening. And when it was time to go to bed, little Penguin turned around to wish the ocean good night, and it seemed to him that somewhere far away in the sky one small star rolled across the sky, leaving a long tail behind it, and disappeared. “Her Majesty the Starlet flew to fulfill someone else's wish,” the little Penguin guessed and smiled, mentally thanking the Queen.
