Biography

In the certificate drawn up for the arrest of Irina Smirnova, an NKVD officer wrote: “He maintains a close relationship with the priest Viktor Ivanovich Morigerovsky. They gather believers around themselves, organize gatherings to help the church and the clergy.

In January 1938, Smirnova said: “According to the constitution, the Soviet government separated the Church from the state, while they themselves find fault with the Church and fight against religion. Now two priests have been arrested; sorry for the poor, they went to suffer for nothing, but we won’t give in either, we took some, we will call on others.

In November 1937, in a conversation near the church shed on the topic of life under the Soviet regime, Smirnova said: “There never was a good life under the Soviet regime and never will be, because all the leaders of the Soviet government and the communists are crooks. Everywhere and everywhere everything is pulled apart. For example, our entire church was robbed, crushed with unbearable taxes. The unfortunate iron has now been stolen. Who? All you communists, drag. Everything is not enough for you, and still you had and still don’t have anything.”

Until 1912, Irina Smirnova lived with her parents, who at that time had a house with outbuildings, two sheds, a barn, a threshing machine, a winnowing machine, a horse-drawn flax spinning wheel, had land for three souls, in addition, they rented land from four to five acres from the landowner. Labor was hired to harvest the crops. They kept a shop with manufactured goods and groceries. In 1912, Irina married Nikolai Smirnov in the village of Sutoki. On the farm they had a house with outbuildings, two sheds, a barn, a barn, a threshing machine, two horses, two cows. In 1913, her husband built a shop in which he opened a grocery store. Four months later, he was arrested for the murder of a tar merchant and sentenced to fifteen years hard labor. Irina stayed with her father-in-law; she inherited a grocery store from her husband.

Irina had two dependent children, she could not trade, and her sister traded. Gradually, Irina built a house, a barn and a barn, got a horse, a cow, three or four sheep. From 1931 to 1936 she was on a collective farm, from where she left due to illness. The farm of the parents was dispossessed under the Soviet regime, they were deprived of voting rights, and then, for failing to fulfill a firm task, the father was expelled for three years. After serving his term, he began to live with her. He lived for three years and died in September 1937.

The investigation has evidence that you have a friendly relationship with Morigerovsky, organized masses of believers to gather to help the church and the clergy, often visited Morigerovsky's house, conducted counter-revolutionary agitation against ongoing events, and discredited the leaders of the Soviet government. - I maintained a friendly relationship with the priest Morigerovsky in the service, the relationship between us was religious. I did not organize gatherings to help the clergy. I visited his house on official business on Sundays. She did not engage in counter-revolutionary agitation against the Soviet regime. - You are being charged with engaging in counter-revolutionary agitation against the activities of the Soviet government carried out in the countryside. Do you plead guilty? “I plead not guilty to the charges brought against me.

On February 27, the NKVD troika sentenced father Viktor and Irina Smirnova to death. Priest Victor Morigerovsky and church elder Irina Smirnova were shot on March 7, 1938 and buried in an unknown common grave at the Butovo training ground.

Do not try to seem better to people than you really are - you won’t stand on tiptoe for a long time ... But don’t try to seem worse than you are - you won’t sit on your haunches for a long time either ... ALWAYS STAY YOURSELF!

Childish world ... It is simple and complex.
Babies are eager to know!
So be careful with them
And don't be too quick to blame them.
Don't go into those little secrets
What are they supposed to keep?
Otherwise you will break by accident
Trust and friendship thread.
