Unfortunately, in other teenagers, experimentation with alcohol and drugs is quite common and is even considered normal. And it goes further than just drinking a bottle of beer at 13. A significant number of teenagers try drugs such as marijuana or LSD before they graduate from high school. Fortunately, only a few connect their lives with hard drugs, but these few are very important, at least for their parents.

The following list highlights 15 of the most bizarre and bizarre (and, in my opinion, stupid) ways teens in the US try to get high. There are no known drugs here. Denatured alcohol, coke, hashish, aromatic bath salts, LSD and the rest have no place on this list because they are too "normal". It is supposed to be applied to your hands to kill germs. Some teenagers decided that they could drink it and get drunk. Some antiseptic gels contain over 60% ethanol. This means that a couple of drops are the equivalent of a couple shots of vodka. As with regular alcoholic beverages, this can lead to serious side effects, including decreased motor function, memory loss, damage to internal organs, and increased blood sugar.

10. Catnip.

If drug research hasn't shown you anything surprising about what teenagers are willing to eat, drink, or smoke to get high, meet catnip. 8. Freon.

Freon is a gas used in freezers and refrigerators. If you inhale it, you will get high. The teenagers found out that the usual home air conditioner also contains Freon. They reportedly use a screwdriver to inhale the gas. In recent years, technicians and repairers have reported an increase in complaints about the loss of freon in air conditioners. In addition to euphoria, freon can cause liver, heart, and brain damage, as well as death. It can also cause severe frostbite on the face and lungs.

7. Aromatic mixtures and "Incense".

It's not something your mom or wife uses to give a nice scent to a room. It may look like "regular" incense blends, but teenagers smoke it like synthetic marijuana. The product was legally sold at gas stations and convenience stores in the United States. Its main chemical was never intended for human consumption, and the danger is increased by the mass of other unknown chemicals often added to the mix. Teenagers have found that using the company's lip balm on their eyelids can produce a feeling of euphoria. Experts believe that this effect is caused by peppermint oil. Side effects are not yet known, but the boredom that caused the desire to try this should be alarming.

Teenagers love to use things for other purposes. Over the past few years, there has been a surge in bizarre drinking practices. It turns out that teenagers liked to soak tampons with vodka and insert them where the sun does not shine, or pour vodka directly into the eyes. The logic is simple - a thinner skin membrane and a high concentration of blood vessels in these "certain" places allow alcohol to be absorbed more quickly. This is true, but the problem is that alcohol enters directly into the bloodstream at a higher concentration than if it had been first processed by the liver. This can lead to alcohol poisoning or damage to the eyes and chocolate eye.

3. Nutmeg.

Yes, that's right, nutmeg. Nutmeg essential oil contains a small amount of myristicin, a psychotropic drug. Teenagers eat, drink and smoke this spice to get some form of high. 1 Jenkem.

Codeine- This is a "medical" drug, from which tablets and cough syrups are made. Drug dealers use the drug to create intoxicating drugs. For example, in the club environment, colored cocktails “drank”, “sizzrp”, “lin” have become widespread - they are prepared from soda, strong alcohol, tranquilizers and codeine-containing drugs. The latter are added in order to relieve tension and improve mood (Codeine has a psychoactive effect).

What is codeine

Codeine is the opiate 3-methylmorphine with the chemical formula C18H21NO3. Obtained by methylation of morphine. Narcotic substance (opium) in Codeine can be from 0.2 to 2%. This is enough to get an intoxicating effect and develop addiction.

The therapeutic effect of Codeine is that it is able to temporarily stop pain and stop coughing attacks. It can also help with disorders of the digestive system (for example, constipation). The substance is part of the following drugs:

• cough and fever pills Kodelmikst, Torpenkod;
• sedative Sedal-M;
• cough tablets Codelac and Codesan;
• analgesics Caffetin, Solpadein, Nurofen;
• cough syrups Tussamg, Coffex, Neo-codion.

In Russia, Codeine is included in Schedule II narcotic drugs. This legal status means that all drugs containing the substance can only be distributed through legal pharmacy chains, dispensed by prescription and taken by patients strictly according to indications. Similar restrictions exist for all derivatives (desomorphine, oxymorphine, norcodeine). For the illegal manufacture and sale of drugs with Codeine comes criminal liability.

DJ Screw spawned a monster that then bit off his head - he died in 2000 at the age of 29 from a lethal cocktail of lin and alcohol. This will not be the last death caused by codeine. But first things first.

The banner of "preachers" of codeine madness was picked up by the super-popular group Three 6 Mafia in those years. With their track "Sippin' On Some Syrup" together with the group UGK, they actually introduced the expression "purple drank", making it sustainable. The codeine addiction epidemic swept the hip-hop scene with renewed vigor in 2011, when the little-known but very promising MC A$AP Rocky released the now-legendary single "Purple Swag". It is not difficult to guess what was read in this track, and in combination with the deliberately sleepy and lazy flow of Rocky and the atmospheric beat "Purple Swag" made a hypnotic impression at all, and quickly became an anthem for those who like to slow down.

And it began.

Juicy J, Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane, Meek Mill, Young Thug, Future, Danny Brown - the list is endless. All of these famous MCs have codeine references and metaphors that are over the top, and some (like Juicy J and Gucci Mane) have even titled their releases after purple liquor (Blue Dreams & Lean and World War 3 Vol. 1 : Lean respectively). What is the secret of such a frenzied popularity of Drank?

The technology for making lin is simple, like everything ingenious. The main ingredient, of course, is a cough syrup with codeine and promethazine. In addition, codeine, like any drug of the opiate group, is a depressant, i.e. has the property of inhibiting many body systems, primarily respiratory and cardiovascular. Respiratory or cardiac arrest is the most common cause of death in overdoses of opiates, including codeine.

Ling also hits the liver and kidneys well, which is quite logical to assume - the organ systems that process the poison that is toxic to them take enormous damage.

We wanted to show that there is a price for everything in this world, and the price for using hard drugs like opiates is especially concentrated. “Find what you love and let it kill you” - this quote from the American writer C. • With prolonged dry cough - bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, emphysema;
• Mild pain syndrome, in particular, with headaches, diarrhea, neuralgia in combination with other analgesic drugs;
• Cough syrups and tablets with codeine should not be used in the treatment of children under two years of age. This is due to the fact that codeine-containing drugs can cause all sorts of side effects in all body systems and internal organs.

Why is codeine dangerous?

Despite the fact that such cough medicines are considered effective, recently doctors have been cautious in prescribing such drugs and only if the disease is severe or other medicines do not help the patient.

According to some doctors, this phenomenon has a more complex effect on the body than drugs with the addition of heroin.
